Joel Ray McHaffie May 23, 1990 - February 10, 2011

Joel Ray McHaffie, 20, Springfield, went to be with the Lord Thursday, February 10, 2011 in his home. He was born May 23, 1990, the son of Ramona ( Daugherty ) King and John Ray McHaffie. Joel Ray was a true outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was also a good Samaritan who was willing to lend a helping hand in any situation or circumstance. He was a proud new father of a three months old baby girl and adored his role as a caring parent. Joel will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his baby daughter Gracee Lynn McHaffie; fiancé, Britian Nell of Republic; his mother Ramona Kay King of Springfield; his father John Ray McHaffie of Sparta; two sisters Randa Kay Thurman Breakbill of Pleasant Hope and Charity McHaffie of Ozark; grandparents Connie Daugherty of Springfield, Wilda Lawson of Ozark, Reggie McHaffie of Springfield; great grandmother Hester Rinch of Ozark, many other relatives and many friends. Graveside funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 17, 2011, in McHaffie Cemetery, Bruner, Mo with Rev. Joe Lafferty officiating. Visitation was held 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark.
