John E. Eaton, 80, of Springfield, MO passed away Friday, September 5, 2014, at Mercy Hospital. He was born December 19, 1933 in Marshall, AR, son of Roy and Faye Eaton. During John’s life, he owned different businesses, which included founding Springfield Pallet Company. On April 18, 2003, John and Mary Ann Francisco Wright were united in marriage. Among their accomplishments were starting a real estate company and tire shop. As they were both former truck drivers, they also started a trucking company and owned a tire retread shop. Their hobbies were traveling and training cutting horses. What John enjoyed most was attending to soccer and baseball practices and games to watch “his kids”, Neven, Kaitlyn and Gabe participate and play sports. Even when he didn’t feel like it, he was not about to miss watching them. He was their Papa. John was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Faye Eaton, and two sisters, Geneva Horton and Lorene Sanders, all from Marshall, AR. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, Neven, Kaitlyn and Gabe, who knew John as Papa; two sons John Paul Holloway and wife Julie of Gravette, AR and Joey Eaton and wife April of Springfield, MO; one daughter Polly Connelly and husband Ron of Garfield, AR; stepson Chris Wright of Willard, MO; stepdaughter Gwen Wright and Eric Fink, of Springfield, MO; four sisters Betty Loggins and husband Billy, Karen Elliott and husband Glen, Roylene Pennington and husband Al, all of Marshall, AR and Sandra Lowery of Centerton, AR; one brother, Roy Eaton, Jr, of Florida, grandchildren and great grandchildren, other caring relatives and friends. Memorial services were held 3:00 pm, Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Cornerstone Church. Inurnment will be at Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson, MO.
