Kenneth (Kenny) J. Karrasch, 73 of Clever, MO passed away September 15, 2014 from heart failure at Mercy Hospital Springfield. Kenny was born in St. Joseph, MO December 20, 1940. He spent the next 67 years in Savannah, Mo, and the past six years residing in Clever, MO. Kenny grew up on the family farm where he was active in 4-H and FFA. After graduating from Savannah High School in 1958, he joined the Army National Guard 35th Signal Corp. of St. Joseph where he honorably served for four years. On April 23, 1965 he married his sweetheart, Mary A. (Clark) Karrasch of Savannah, MO. Kenny spent his life providing for his family and retired from Quaker Oats of St. Joseph in 1994. He enjoyed spending his free time outdoors with nature, tending his bee hives, and sipping iced tea on the porch with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents; Alfred E. and M. Marguerite (Haenni) Karrasch. He is survived by his wife Mary, they were blessed with two children; John D. Karrasch and his wife Angela of Leavenworth, KS.; and Debra A. Reynolds of Clever, MO.; four grandchildren Katelin, Alexander, Daltin, and Jacob, and one sister Carol McKenzie of Hanibal, MO; several nieces and nephews.
