Kathie M. Buettner January 25, 1946 - March 9, 2019

Kathie Michael Buettner of Oldfield, Missouri was born January 25, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri to Wilson and Josephine Schaedler.  Kathie left from this life on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at her home in Oldfield, Missouri at the age of 73 years.

Kathie enjoyed woodworking, making jewelry, gardening, outdoor activities, dancing and traveling.  She also enjoyed playing with her great-grandchildren and other children who visited the farm.  She showed them a world of imagination through her leprechaun village, Star Fire the horse in the woods and her bear stories.  Kathie always had a smile on her face and never was too busy to stop and visit with anyone.

Kathie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.  Those who are left to treasure her memory and continue her legacy are her daughters Tracy Hall of Hollister, Missouri and Amy Benson and husband Ron of Edgar Springs, Missouri; six grandchildren Kaula Magruder and husband Matthew of Fordland, Missouri, Breann Hall of Nixa, Missouri, Logan Hall of Ozark, Missouri and Nikki Grayson and husband Matthew of Edgar Springs, Missouri, Paige Frazier and husband Calvin of Marshfield, Missouri and Tyler Benson of Newburg, Missouri; seven great-grandchildren Kailynn, Brystin, Michael, Kinzley, Colton,  Paislee and Corbin; three sisters Mary Conaway and husband Jerry of Cherryville, Missouri, Jane Brummet and husband Jeffrey of St. James, Missouri and Lisa Schaedler and husband Brian McDonald of Lisle, Illinois; two close family friends Kerry Brand and wife Nita of Rogersville, Missouri and Rexx Morrison and wife Christina of Eldon, Missouri; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

The love of her life, David Buettner, who preceded her in death, was her rock and strong hold for 49 years.  David and Kathie were very much in love and spent  their entire marriage holding hands, building a happy life and enjoying each other’s company.  Kathie finally heard his harmonica calling her home and she is now back in his loving arms where she always wanted to be.

A celebration will be held at 2:00P.M., Saturday, March 16, 2019, at 1585 Bray Mines Road, Oldfield, Missouri (signs will be posted).  Dinner will follow the service for all to enjoy.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to New Hope Development, 433 Animal Safari Road, Branson, Missouri 65616, (417)334-8507. Tracy and Amy , Lisa and I are so sorry to hear about your mom passing. We talked to her in November when we were voting at Oldfield. She was happy and laughing and she talked about you both and we laughed about old Norwood times. I remember her always baking cookies. We live at Oldfield if you ever need anything please don’t hesitate to ask.
