Bobbie E. Carner December 20, 1928 - March 9, 2019

The Lord’s good and faithful servant, Bobbie Estel Carner, age 90 of Ozark, passed away peacefully in Springfield, Missouri Saturday, March 9, 2019.  Born December 20, 1928 in Warm Springs, Arkansas, Bob raced through three years of formal education before leaving school to work the family farm.  From a very young age, Bob became the master of “wheeling and dealing” which led to a highly successful career in car sales and dealership management.  His greatest love however, was his adoring wife Norma.  Married October 26, 1948 in Pocahontas, Arkansas, Bob and Norma spent nearly 67 years together before the Lord called Norma home on October 4, 2015.  Bob passed on his love of life, sense of humor and life lessons to three sons who he greatly admired and loved.  As Bob would probably say, “to make a long story short, I had a wonderful life,” which would be immediately followed by 45 more minutes of a long story.  Bob positively influenced many people during his time here with us.  He will be greatly missed and his stories will be repeated often by those he met.  No doubt, Bob is telling his loving wife Norma one of those stories right now.

Bob is survived by three sons, Rick and wife Janet of Atlanta, Georgia, Randy and wife Ruth of San Antonio, Texas and Jeff of Ozark; three granddaughters, Laura Daigle (Chad), Lauren Dalrymple (Brice) and Meredith Stentiford (Bevan); five great- granddaughters, Adelyn and Avery Daigle, Lily and Edee Dalrymple and Aubree Stentiford; two sisters LaVern and Greathen Carner.  Bob was preceded in death by his wife Norma; daughter Barbara Lynn; father Troy Carner and mother Minnie (Edwards.)

Funeral service for Bob will be 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, March 13, 2019 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark with Pastor Gary Mitchener officiating. Burial will follow in Weaver Cemetery. Visitation will be 12:30 until service time Wednesday in the funeral home. Online condolences may be shared at www.barnesfamilyfunerals.com.
