Kenneth Max Maggard, age 78 of Sparta, Missouri passed away early Sunday morning, May 23, 2021 in his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 9, 1943 to Ira and Faye (Thompson) Maggard. On September 18, 1981 he was united in marriage to Patsy Maggard.
In addition to his wife Patsy, Kenneth is also survived by six children, Kenneth Wayne Maggard of Halfway Missouri, Cammie Guerin and husband David of Chadwick, Missouri, Carla Shipman and husband Rick of Sparta, Missouri, Richard Maggard, Brighton, Missouri, Kevin Comley of Branson, Missouri, Teresa West and husband Tommy of Urbana, Missouri; a sister Barbara Combs and husband Garland; twelve grandchildren Shawn Guerin, Thomas Maggard, Kathryn Guerin, David Lee Guerin, Derek Maggard, Rikki Dean, Jacob Shipman, Nicholas Shipman, Kenny Wayne Maggard, Richard Baker, Autumn Baker and Zechariah Baker; sixteen great-grandchildren Titis Maggard, Victoria Maggard, Ryan Maggard, Collin Maggard, Kerrigan Guerin, Creek Guerin, Bradlynn Guerin, McCare Guerin, Madelyn Faye Dean, Maeleigh Shipman, Xander Shipman, Landon Maggard, Corbin Maggard, Maddison Baker, Morgan Schnell, Savannah Schnell and a new great-grandson, Maverick David Lee Dean to be born soon.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Robin Lynn Maggard. Kenneth will be sadly missed but his loving memory will live on forever in the hearts of his family and many friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 26, 2021 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in Holland Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Donations are requested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-3678.
