Lee Anna Keene May 3, 1937 - January 31, 2013

Lee Anna Keene, age 75 of Sparta, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013 in her home following a short illness. She was born May 3, 1937 the daughter of Chester and Lovie (Monger) Workman. On February 12, 1954 she was united in marriage to Billy Joe Keene who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband, Lee Anna was also preceded in death by her parents, infant twin brothers and a brother, Royal Wade Workman. Lee Anna is survived by two sons Danny Keene and wife Kathy of Ozark and Billy Joe Keene of Sparta; a daughter Debra Williams and husband Dennis of Marshfield; a sister Lois Day and husband Clifford of Ozark and a sister-in-law Shirley Ann Workman of Sparta; six grandchildren Terri Jo Bratten, Robby Williams, Chris Skouby, Jeremy, Lacy, and B.J. Keene; three great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other caring relatives and good friends. Lee Anna loved the outdoors and was an avid gardener. She enjoyed her flowers and was well-known for her green thumb. But ultimately, Lee Anna will be remembered for her love and dedication to her family. Graveside funeral services were at 10:00 AM Monday, February 4, 2013 in Highlandville Cemetery with Pastor John Hyde officiating. A viewing was held from noon-5:00 PM Sunday in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark.
