Lula Belle (Whitlock) Roberts, age 85, of Ozark, Missouri, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024, in Cox South Hospital. Lou, as she was fondly known, was born March 24, 1939, in Highlandville, Missouri, to Arthur and Onita (Dye) Whitlock. Lou was united in marriage to William Eugene Roberts on August 1, 1959.
Lou was a longtime resident of Christian County who enjoyed spending her entire life dedicated to serving others. In her youth, Lou worked in healthcare as a surgical technologist and later as an EMT. She also served as the activities director for Century Pines and employed for Hagale Industries.
Lou will be remembered for her gentle nature, love of thrift store shopping, and commitment to her family. Lou loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. No matter the time of day, Lou always made sure her family felt welcome and that they were fed. She was always thinking of her family and took pride in providing for them.
Lou was preceded in death by her son, Jeff Roberts; her parents, Arthur and Onita Whitlock; her brothers, Floyd, Don, and Wayne Whitlock, and her sister Berta Stafford.
Lou is survived by her husband, Eugene Roberts; her brother Stanley Whitlock; her children Pam (Roberts) Kaniowski and Randy Roberts; her grandchildren Brandon Dennis and fiancée Katie West, Ashley Dennis and fiancé Zeb Marlay, Taylor (Roberts) Montana and husband Cameron Montana; her great-grandchildren Kylie West, Kynzi West, Korbin Dennis, Sydney Marlay, Avery Marlay, and Zane Marlay, other caring relatives and many friends.
Graveside funeral services will be 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, July 31, 2024, in Highlandville Cemetery. Visitation for Lou will be 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri. Online condolences may be shared at www.barnesfamilyfunerals.com
