Madelene Connie Ramsey, age 82 of Ozark, Missouri, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023, at her home. Madelene was born September 27, 1941, in Crocker, Missouri to John and Mabel (Deardeuff) Cetina. Madelene worked as a bookkeeper/secretary for much of her adult life. She was able to pursue her educational interests by completing her Bachelor of Arts in writing at Southwest Missouri State University while her daughters attended college. One of Madelene’s favorite hobbies was painting. She combined interest with action and was one of the founding members of the Finley River Fine Arts Association. She enjoyed many hours painting and volunteering at the gallery.
Madelene is survived by two daughters, Morgen and husband Eric Forrest of Tucson, Arizona; Susanne and husband Andy Daniel of Ozark; grandson Gus Daniel and Staci Mitts-Daniel of Marana, Arizona, and great-granddaughter Eleanor; granddaughter Christi Daniel and Christina Langston of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, brother-in-law Harold Ramsey as well as nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Madelene was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Ramsey, both parents, stepdad Lester Workman Sr, stepbrothers Jim and Lester Workman Jr.
Graveside funeral services will be 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Selmore Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 17, 2023 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri. Online condolences may be shared at www.barnesfamilyfunerals.com.
