Mary Fern Tucker March 7, 1950 - April 30, 2018

Mary Fern Tucker, age 68 of Ozark, Missouri, passed away peacefully, Monday, April 30, 2018 in Ozark.  Mary was born in Malvern, Arkansas March 7, 1950, the daughter of Henry C. and Carlah (Rankin) Tucker.  Mary was the youngest of 5 children. Although Mary was born with Cerebral Palsy, she was funny, loving and so very witty!  Mary beat many odds during her lifetime and was a true fighter.  She taught her family the true meaning of compassion, regardless of others abilities or limitations. Mary moved from Malvern, Arkansas to California as a little girl and grew up in her childhood home of Wilmington, California.  She still gave that home address and phone number until her last days. She had many fond memories there and was the apple of her mother’s eye.  After Mary lost her mother in 1991, she lived with her beloved brother and loving sister-in-law, and spent the last 24 years in Missouri. Mary loved spending time with her family and friends, dancing, music, watching cartoons, collecting purses, and especially drinking coffee!  Mary appeared many times on her very favorite T.V. show, Hobo Kelly. Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother Don Tucker Sr.; sisters Clariece Joyner and Ann DeMik.  Mary is survived by her sister-in-law, Barbara Tucker of Ozark, 18 nieces and nephews and many great and great- great nieces and nephews. Mary was deeply loved and will be missed by her family, friends and the many people whose lives she touched. Funeral services for Mary will be 6:00 P.M. Thursday, May 3, 2018 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark with Pastor Dale Grubaugh officiating.
