Peggy June Coffer, age 85 of Ozark, Missouri passed away in her home, Wednesday afternoon, May 11, 2022. She was born May 21, 1936 in Nixa, Missouri the daughter of Delbert James Weter and Mable (Pierce) Weter. On January 30, 1954, she was united in marriage to Junior Ray Coffer and this marriage was blessed with one son, Jamie Wayne. Junior Ray Coffer, preceded Peggy in death on September 16, 2010.
Peggy was a longtime Christian County resident, she lived most of her life in the Chadwick area, then moved to Ozark in 1988. At a very young age, Peggy was baptized and enjoyed being a member of the First Baptist Church of Chadwick. Peggy was a dedicated employee for Hagale Garment Factory for several years and retired in 2001. She enjoyed being retired and entertaining her friends and family, especially her granddaughter and great-grandchildren. Peggy will be sadly missed but her loving memory will live on forever in the hearts of family and friends.
Peggy is survived by her granddaughter, Trista Coffer; great-grandchildren Payton Coffer and Myles Moesner; brothers Joe Weter and wife Wilma, Dave Weter and wife Marie, Gene Weter and Dean Weter; special friends Brian and Joan Moesner; several nieces, nephews and other caring relatives. In addition to her husband Junior, Peggy was also preceded in death by her son, Jamie Wayne Coffer, her daughter-in-law, two sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 16, 2022 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri. Burial will follow in Chadwick Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, 1:00 to 2:00 P.M., in the funeral home. Donations to honor Peggy are suggested to Chadwick Memorial Cemetery.
