Rachel McGee, age 79 of Ozark, Missouri passed away early Wednesday morning, September 28, 2022, in her home. She was born August 11, 1943, in Grant County, North Dakota, the daughter of William and Martha (Will) Hintz. On August 6, 1966, Rachel was united in marriage to Clyde McGee, Jr.

Rachel was a dedicated wife, mother and a faithful Christian lady, who willingly help many people. Being married to an Assembly of God minister for many years, Rachel minister in church and with her fellow church members. She spent countless hours in the church nursery loving on 2-3 year old toddlers and encouraging teenagers to follow Christ. In her spare time, Rachel enjoyed large family gatherings, being outside and raising large vegetable gardens. Rachel was also a talented writer, who wrote and published many interesting articles in a local magazine. She moved to Ozark in 1998, where she enjoyed being a housewife and attended Life Point Church. Rachel will be sadly missed but her loving memory will live on forever in the hearts of her wonderful family.

Rachel is survived by her son Todd MCGee and wife Beth; daughter Stacey Gimlin and husband Truitt; three beautiful grandchildren Bailey Gimlin, Clayton Gimlin and Grace McGee; three brothers Chet Hintz and wife Judy, Orrin Hintz and wife Kathy, Vernon Hintz and wife Lori; three sisters Millie Phillips and husband John, Mary Bovee, Sharon Schaefer and husband Daniel; many other caring relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, Rachel was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

Funeral service for Rachel will be 6:30 P.M. Monday, October 3, 2022 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark. Visitation will be 5:30 P.M. Monday until service time in the funeral home. Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 5, 2022 in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri.
