Ralph R. (Bud) Powell, Jr, age 79 of Ozark, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. He was born November 19, 1942, in Poughkeepsie, New York, to Ralph R. Powell Sr. and Virginia Ruth Beam Powell

Bud was a union electrician with IBEW for many years and later worked for Cache Beauty Supply, Jonesboro, Arkansas, selling beauty supplies in Southwest Missouri and Northwest Arkansas. Selling beauty supplies was a complete career change but one Bud enjoyed and he made many friends while doing so.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Glen (Pop) and Virginia Hibbard, brother-in-law, Chet Heady, two nephews, Jonathan Heady and Scott Dickens. Bud is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carol Hibbard Powell; two daughters Lisa Law Powell Stewart and husband Chris of Dayton, Ohio; Sabrina Ruth Powell Yee and husband Eric of Kenosha, Wisconsin; sister Sue Heady of Meadowbrook, Alabama; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Dean and Ann Hibbard Dickens of Nixa, Missouri; several nieces, nephews, great nephew and other extended family members.

Graveside services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 5, 2022, in Holland Cemetery, Rogersville, Missouri. Arrangements and cremation services under the direction of Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to a charity of personal choice.
