Raymond Loyd Holt, age 50 of Sparta, Missouri, passed away Friday, July 24, 2015 in Cox South Hospital. On August 31, 1964, he was born to Sidney and Martha (Dalton) Holt in Branson, Missouri. Loyd was united in marriage to Julie Goodwin on April 10, 1993 and this union was blessed with two children. Loyd was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed riding horses and spending time with his children. For many years, Loyd was employed by Rhodes Concrete before purchasing a farm in Douglas County. He later returned to Christian County and was employed by Accurate Plastics. Loyd is survived by his two children Austin Holt of Nixa and Sierra Holt of Fort Scott, Kansas; two brothers Leon Holt and wife Terri and their son Patrick, Michael Holt and a most special friend Tammy Caudill; two half-sisters Brenda Chapman and Marie Weiss. Loyd was also fondly known as “Mister” to a very special “Lady” Pam Harwell. Additionally, Loyd is survived by several other caring relatives and many good friends. Loyd was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and two half-brothers Clark and Jeffery Holt. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, July 28, 2015 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark. Graveside services will be 2:00p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 2015 in Old Boston Cemetery, Oldfield with Reverend Rob Dalton officiating. Online condolences may be shared at www.barnesfamilyfunerals.com.

    We are saddened by the sudden loss of our cousin Loyd. He was a one of a kind fella! We’ve had a lot of fun together. Sure weren’t ready to let you go, but we will have a super happy reunion one day!!! Love and miss you already, Melissa and Jame Holt
