Roberta Mae Curtis, age 92 passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 8, 2025. Roberta was born in Bruner, Missouri the daughter of Robert and Alta Philips. She was the baby of the family with four older brothers, Raymond, Louis, Leroy and Jesse.
She lived most of her life in Missouri where she met and married Jerry Jiles Andrews. She raised two children Randall and Laurie. She raised her children while working as a seamstress, housekeeper and nurse. She later opened her own alterations business.
Later life brought a second marriage to Theodore Curtis. Ted loved to travel and Roberta joined him on his many adventures eventually landing in Tennessee. In 2013, she returned to Missouri to be close to family. She joined Cassidy United Methodist Church in Nixa, Missouri. Her love for crocheting kept her busy as she aged. She crocheted close to 1000 prayer shawls for the church and baby caps and blankets for Ronald McDonald House.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and son (Randall Jiles Andrews).
Roberta is survived by her daughter Laurie Andrews and her husband John D. Stidham, II along with several nieces and nephews.
