Rosamond Toepfer, age 84 of Ozark, Missouri, passed away early Saturday morning, February 24, 2024,in Ozark Nursing and Care. She was born March 14, 1939, in Mercer County, Missouri the daughter of Eugene and Genevieve ( Beard) Snyder. On August 25, 1986, Rosamond was united in marriage to Charles Toepfer who preceded her in death November 8, 2011.
After moving from Mercer County to Springfield, Missouri in 1979, Rosamond was employed at Cox Medical Center as a CNA until 1992. She practiced her kindness with giving care to the newborn nursery babies and before retirement she floated in the cancer oncology departments. Rosamond enjoyed attending the Nazarene Church of Ozark where she was a member. She also attended auctions, loved her many animals and was famous for her cooking skills. Her family looked forward to her wonderful meals and sharing her favorite dishes. Rosamond will be sadly missed but her loving memory will live on in the hearts of her caring family.
Rosamond is survived by two daughters Linda McLaughlin and husband Robert, Karen Cranor and husband Brad; three grandchildren Brandon Cranor and wife Heidi, Justin Cranor and wife Erica, Shawna Smay and husband John; 16 great-grandchildren and other caring relatives. In addition to her husband Charles, Rosamond was also preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be 9:30 AM Friday, March 1, 2024, in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri. Burial will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri. Visitation will be held one hour prior beginning at 8:30 AM until service time in the funeral home. The family requests donations be made to the Ozark Veterinary Clinic or Rescue One of Springfield.
