Wilma Rogers May 5, 1939 - January 11, 2022

Wilma Jean Rogers, age 82 of Sparta, Missouri passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022, in Nixa Nursing and Rehab Center, Nixa, Missouri. At the time of her passing, Wilma was surrounded by her loving family and the wonderful care team that provided care for her the past two years. She was born May 5, 1939, the daughter of Henry and Coy A. (Wright) Willis and the youngest of nine children. On July 12, 1954, and at the young age of 15, Wilma was united in marriage to Charles Rogers. Together they celebrated 60 years of marriage before Charles passed away on January 6, 2015. Wilma enjoyed caring for her family and being a homemaker. She spent many hours having phone conversations and staying in contact with her loved ones. But her favorite joy was caring for her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Wilma will be sadly missed but her wonderful memory will live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones and friends.

Wilma is lovingly survived by her son Frankie Rogers and wife Sandy of Rogersville; daughter Marcella Gardner and husband Tim of Sparta; daughter Suzanne Grider and husband Roger of Bruner; grandchildren Robert Rogers, Amanda Hayden, Randy Rogers, Courtney Ketterman, Kaylee Bumgardner, Tommy Maggard, Derek Maggard, Casie Hoerman, Clay Gardner, Nathan Grider, Amber Walburn, Brian Grider and Christina Holzschuher. Wilma is also survived by 32 great-grandchildren and other caring relatives. In addition to her husband, Wilma was also preceded in death by parents and her siblings.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 14, 2022 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri with Pastor Alan Maggard officiating. Burial will follow in Sparta Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 in the funeral home from 10:00 A.M. until service time. Online condolences may be at www.barnesfamilyfunerals.com.
