Alfred B. Berry, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, age 78 of Ozark, passed away in Mercy Hospital, Monday, December 29, 2014. Al was born November 27, 1936 the son of Farrell and Veta Berry at Trail, Missouri. On January 13, 1961 he was united in marriage to Sue Jenkins and this union was blessed with two sons. Al graduated from Dora High school and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Al was employed as a supervisor at Fasco Industries for 16 years before beginning his career in real-estate. He was presently active in his real-estate business at the time of his death. Al was a quiet man but generous with helping those in need, especially through his work as a landlord. Al was also an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing and hunting with his friends and family or swapping tips and stories with other local outdoorsman. He was an excellent provider, a role model and a hero to his entire family. Al is survived by his wife Sue; two sons Alan Berry and wife Beverly, Alfred L. Berry and wife Debbie; five grandchildren Erin Beaver and husband Scott, Briana Berry, Jarrett Berry, Beau Berry, Elijah Berry; and a great-granddaughter Norah Beaver. Al was a loving and wise brother to his siblings, J.M. Berry, Farrell Wayne Berry, Barbara Watkins, Alice Thornton and Kay Doubek. Al will be missed by countless nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Sidney Hancock and an infant brother. Funeral services will be 1:00P.M.Thursday, New Year’s Day,January 1, 2015 in Barnes Family Funeral Home Ozark, with Pastor Lance Doubek officiating. Burial will follow in Sparta Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.Wednesday evening, December 31, 2014 in the funeral home.     I worked with Al at Consumers Market grocery warehouse in the late 70’s early 80’s,with Al.He was always a gentleman.I never heard an unkind word from him.My thoughts and prayers are with Al’s family.
