Betty Jane Powers, 77, of Springfield, MO passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2013. Betty was the daughter of John and Nomel Powers. She was born on November 4, 1935 in Highlandville, MO.
Betty was a resident at the Lakeside Group Home in Springfield, MO where she had resided for the last 11 years. She was loved and will be greatly missed by her friends and caregivers there. She enjoyed the pets and the many other activities at the group home.
Betty leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her; sister, Katy Meier of Highlandville, MO; brother, Paul Powers of Ozark, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews. There is a special Angel in Heaven that is part of me. It is not where I wanted her but where God wanted her to be. She was here but just a moment like a night time shooting star. And though she is in Heaven she isn’t very far. She touched the heart of many like only an Angel can do. So I send this special message to Heaven up above. Please take care of my Angel and send her all my love.
Funeral services for Betty will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 7, 2013 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will follow in Highlandville Cemetery. Visitation will be held 9:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home. Online condolences maybe shared at www.barnesfamilyfunerals.com.
