Danny Strode April 3, 1964 - December 23, 2021

Danny Joe Strode, age 57 of Albuquerque, New Mexico, presently living in Rogersville, Missouri, passed away Thursday morning, December 23, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones while he lost his fight to Covid. He was born April 3, 1964 to the late James Strode and mother Marjorie (Cherry) Strode. Danny was a very successful businessman who strived for greatness every day. He owned two very successful companies, Southwest Propane and Canon’s Southwest Septic Services both based in Moriarty, New Mexico. While living in both New Mexico and Missouri for many years, his heart truly belonged in the beautiful Ozarks. He was working very hard to retire soon to be with family and travel, particularly to the beach. His dream was to one day own a home or condo on the beach and looked forward to enjoying his family. Danny employed many employees and friends he called family. He cherished and loved them all dearly. Danny was a loving father of three children and did everything possible to provide for them and keep them safe. He was the most loving, caring, selfless person you would ever know. His generosity spread through the communities where he lived and was able to help so many in need. His love for life was uncanny and his sense of adventure was well known by those closest to him. There was never a problem too difficult to solve, no dad jokes left unturned and not a smile left ungiven from this man. His permanent smile and loving nature lit every room and his daily words of encouragement helped so many get through life. Danny’s favorite past time was taking long rides on his motorcycles and spending time with friends. Any restaurant worth eating at he knew about and would tell everyone. His favorite foods were ribs and steak, and he could always tell you about the best places in town.  His positivity and love for our Lord and Savior was one of a kind. He is what all of us strive to be. Danny will be sadly missed but will live on forever in the hearts of his many friends and family.

Danny was preceded in death by his father and two brothers David and Wayne Strode. Danny is survived by his mother Marjorie (Cherry) Strode; daughter Britanie Prather and husband Mike, daughter Tiffanie Shook and husband Chad, son Levi Strode; sister Diane LaMonte and husband Tim; brother Bill Strode and wife Stephanie; granddaughter Paislie Prather; two grandsons Sutton and Finley Shook; the mother of his children Wretha Strode; partner Melissa Diaz; many nieces and extended family.

Funeral services will be 2:00P.M. Thursday, December 30, 2021 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri. Burial will follow in Selmore Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude PL, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105. I’m so sorry. Can’t believe it still. In a time where we all need warriors, why? We all prayed for healing. God healed him. I still pray for the peace that only our Lord can give to everyone involved. May you, Danny, rest in peace. I’ll see you on the other side when God heals me

Still so shocked to lose Danny. He was a good friend and an amazing irreplaceable member of this community. He is the reason I am a member of the Starlit Night group. He created it years ago and we continued on doing it. I will never forget him. His smile, his hugs. Such a beautiful soul. God Speed Danny, say hi to my mom, she just got there too. My deepest condolences to you guys, I know the pain you’re going through. May God comfort each of you.

No words to describe Danny. When he moved to Mo, with his beautiful family, we were lucky enough to become his neighbors. We watch the kids grown into adults. We shared many dinners with them, and saw them almost every day. Later when he went back to NM, he would call us and we had dinner somewhere. We will cherish the time we had with him and his family. The laughter, the teasing and yes trips we made together. Love now, don’t wait because we are not promise tomorrow. Love you all!

To the family and business staff (Southwest Propane NM) of Danny Strode. My deepest sympathies to you all.
Never had the privilege of meeting Mr. Strode, but the professional, kind and understanding people of his company are any indication of his ethics of life than I’m sure he is a gentleman I would have loved to have known.

It’s still so hard to believe. I have known Danny for, I don’t know how long. He was such a great man. Such a great example of a man, a human being. He’s the reason I got involved in Starlit Night. He’s the reason we have continued it on. He took a chance on my son, Joe and gave him a job. I called him and basically asked a favor, even though he didn’t have the qualifications they were looking for. Without even a hesitation, he said send him down. I’m forever grateful to Danny for so many things, but more so for that, he changed my son’s life. Rest in Peace Danny. I know YOU know how much you were loved and appreciated out here and all over. Thank you for your guidance, for your friendship. We love you and we will miss you more, but we promise to continue your good will.
Deepest condolences to his mom, children, grandchildren and his siblings. You guys were that sparkle; that twinkle in his eye.

I just Heard about your passing today. I am sorry you left way too soon. I remember when we first met. I guess we were around 13 years old. You moved to Adobe Acres in the South Valley, you were always on your Honda 100 cc motorcycle. You went to a different Mid-school, but we were friends. Condolences to your family, you were always a nice, good-hearted person.
