Dorothy Wessell January 30, 1930 - June 27, 2021

Dorothy “Dode” (Reedy) Wessell, age 91 of Ozark, Missouri was born January 30, 1930 in Walworth County, Wisconsin to Gurvace and Jasper Reedy and passed away June 27, 2021 at home.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Darwin Vaughn “Dar” Wessell, brother Robert Reedy and brother Donald Reedy.

She is survived by two children, her daughter Lynda Wessell and son Mark Wessell, two grandchildren, Lynda’s daughter Taylor of Wisconsin and Mark’s Daughter Rebecca of New York and her youngest sibling, Joyce (Reedy) Faulk.

Her devoted daughter, Lynda, assumed a lot of responsibilities on Dar’s passing and generously contributed her time to assist with must have essentials of watching Cardinals baseball, daily news and music via Alexa. Little Sis Joyce, was not only a sibling but a best friend, confidant and devoted family member throughout her entire life.

In her role as a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend she was always willing to take on all comers of a topic or conversation, no holds barred and relished an especially good political argument. She is truly missed, but we know she is with her best friend and husband Dar along with many pets.

Dar and Dode, always modest in life and now death, never asked for any acknowledgement for doing what is always right, trustworthy, faithful and dutiful. Any thoughts of condolences would be appreciated if sent to their two favorite charities, the Salvation Army or the Kitchen.
