Edith Maxine Gilley July 2, 1925 - January 20, 2017

Edith Maxine Gilley, age 91 of Ozark, Missouri passed away Friday morning, January 20, 2017 in Ozark Nursing and Care. She was born July 2, 1925 the daughter of Glen Max and Maude (Bateman) Isbell. On July 4, 1944 she was united in marriage to Noel Jackson Gilley and in 1995, after 51 years of marriage, Noel preceded Edith in death. Edith was also a longtime member of Sparta Christian Church of Sparta. In addition to her husband Edith was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother Joe Isbell and two sisters Madge Isbell and Mable Maples. Edith is survived by three sons Jerry Gilley, Jim Gilley and wife Elaine, Jackson Gilley and wife Denise of Sparta; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law Dorothy Richardson and other caring relatives. Honoring Edith’s request no services are planned. However, Edith requested memorial donations be made in her honor and mailed to Sparta Christian Church P.O. Box 175 Sparta, MO 65753.
