Joanna (Bacorn) Wood, age 72 of Ozark, Missouri passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013 in her home. She was born June 15, 1941 the daughter of Freda (Livingston) Bacorn and Joseph Bacorn, Jr. On April 6, 1960 she was united in marriage to Hugh Alan Wood and this union was blessed with two daughters. Joanna was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister Betty Louise, infant brother Joseph Bacorn III and step-father Doran Manis. Joanna is lovingly survived by her husband Alan; daughters Cynthia Venable and Deborah Shattuck and husband Mike all of Ozark; brother Fred Bacorn and wife Connie of Ava; granddaughters Kylie Gallegos and husband Daniel and Jesika Venable; grandson Wyatt Shattuck; honorary daughter Faye Griffin and husband Joe and granddaughter Taylre Griffin; sister-in-law Holly Frasher and husband Dwayne; brother-in-law Robert Wood and several other caring relatives and many good friends. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 26, 2013 in Nixa Church of the Nazarene, 306 Northview Road, Nixa, Missouri with Pastor Gary Swearengin officiating. Burial will follow in Ava City Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Sunday afternoon in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark.
