Judy Ann Thornton, age 69 of Reeds Spring, Missouri passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022, in Cox South Hospital, Springfield, Missouri, surrounded by family.
She was born July 9, 1953, to Sherman (Jack) and Elma (Owens) Walker. On January 3, 1970, she was united in marriage to Norman Pat Thornton and shared almost 53 years together. To this union two children were born, Patrick Thornton and Jacqueline (Thornton) Colwell.
Judy retired in 2016 after being the owner and operator of Meme’s County Cafe in Reeds Spring. She was an avid fan of St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
Judy is survived by her husband Pat, son Patrick, daughter Jacque and her husband Sean Colwell; grandchildren, Tiffany, Jessica, David, Paul and fiancé Samantha, Austin, Nate, Roman and Annabel; great-grandchildren, Timothy, Johnathan, Matthew and a great-grand daughter to be born the end of January. Judy is also survived by three brothers, Jack Brown and wife Becky, John Walker and wife Dawn, Jim Walker and wife Michelle, and a host of other family members she loved dearly.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Elma Walker, daughter-in-law Mary Kathryn Thornton and a great-grand child Baby C.
