Kathryn E. Graves February 14, 1927 - February 13, 2012

Kathryn Elizabeth Graves, age 84, Sparta, MO passed away Monday, February 13, 2012, in her home with her loving family by her side. Kathryn was born February 14, 1927, in Harrisburg, PA, the daughter of John and Blanche (Summy) Rodemaker. Kathryn worked in the medical dentistry profession for many years. She was widowed at the age of thirty and raised her three young daughters. No matter how difficult, she managed to get through the tough times. She retired to enjoy her beloved arts and crafts. Kathryn also enjoyed baking and cooking for her family and those she loved. Kathryn is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Comp; daughter Donna Malbrough; her father and mother; brothers John, Kenneth and James Rodemaker and sister Helen Foltz. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Piel, Sparta, MO and Elaine Watson, Surprise, AZ; two sisters, Nancy Greene and Joyce Durham both of Pennsylvania.; grandchildren Kelly Piel, MO, Daniel Piel, AZ, Angie and Tommy Watson, AZ, Robert and Douglas Malbrough, LA and Donald Malbrough, GA; nine grand-children and twelve nieces and nephews, other family members and friends. Kathryn will be thought of often for her love and kindness to those who knew her. We know she is now in her “real home” with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. A celebration of Kathryn’s life will be held 2 to 6 PM, Thursday, February 16, 2012 in her home at 6574 State Hwy 14 E., Sparta, MO. All family and friends are welcome.
