Patsy Lansdown February 19, 1948 - February 21, 2022

Patsy Ruth (Cox) Lansdown, age 74 of Ava, Missouri, passed away Monday, February 21, 2022, in Cox South Hospital, Springfield, Missouri. Pat as she was fondly known by her family and friends, was born February 19, 1948, the daughter of Jack Thomas Cox and Myrl Lee (Vogt) Cox. On May 22, 1964, she was united in marriage to Ronnie Lansdown and this union was blessed with two wonderful children, Doug and Jill.

Pat was a longtime Douglas County resident and graduated from Ava High School, during the Summer of 1965. Pat was a remarkable woman who fulfilled the roles of wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and grandmother with unfailing love; she unselfishly dedicated many years of her life to caring for her family. Pat was well-known for her big heart, always shared her loving kindness and enjoyed life, especially the activities and trips with her grandchildren. Her gardening skills and knowledge of flowers made her an expert with growing all varieties of plants. Pat was also an animal lover and cared for her many cats, especially her cat Ruby. She will be sadly missed but her memory will live on forever in the hearts of her loving family and friends. In keeping with Pat’s wishes, her last final act of love was her gift through Mid-America Transplant and being a donor so others could benefit from her generosity.

Pat is survived by her husband Ronnie; son Doug Lansdown and wife Kristi; daughter Jill Lansdown; sister Jeanne Cox; three grandchildren Casey Guerin and husband David, Kaylee Johnson and Jadon Lansdown; two great-grandchildren Bradlynn and McCrae; several loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. In addition to her parents, Pat was also preceded in death by a brother Paul Edward Cox and an infant brother, Jackie Ray Cox.

Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 28, 2022, in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Ava, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Epilepsy Foundation, 3540 Crain, Hwy.Suite 675, Bowie, MD 20716 or donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
