Rex Bilyeu July 27, 1941 - September 7, 2021

Rex Bilyeu, age 80 of Chadwick, Missouri passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021 in his home, after a short illness. He was born July 27, 1941 the son of Arthur and Dora ( Sportsman) Bilyeu. On November 21, 2003, Rex was united in marriage to the love of his life, Margaret J. (Blood) Bilyeu, and after 16 blessed years of marriage Margaret preceded him in death on Sunday, January 12, 2020.

Rex was a longtime Christian County resident, born and raised in Chadwick and then moved away to California only to return to the Ozarks in the 60’s. He was a gentle man with a big heart and cared deeply for his wife and family. During his younger years he enjoyed fishing, hunting and being outdoors. Rex was a big fan of the “Gunsmoke” TV series and loved watching old Westerns. He was also a member of Oakwood Baptist Church where he enjoyed fellowship and attending worship.

In addition to his wife, Rex was also preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. Rex is lovingly survived by two step-daughters Elizabeth Mai and Lori Palau and husband Luis; son Raymond Bilyeu; sisters Mary Aguero and Betty Costas; brother Larry Bilyeu; two grandchildren Louie Palau and Melissa Palau, other caring relatives and several good friends.

Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 10, 2021 in Chadwick Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Jon Mitchell officiating. Rex will be laid to rest beside his wife, Margaret as they are rejoined in Heaven together. Arrangements and services under the care of Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark, Missouri.
