Shannon Charles McCoy, 69, of Ozark, Missouri, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. Shannon was born in San Mateo, California, on July 21, 1946 to Wilbur and Pauline McCoy. He married Barbara Ann Scheper on June 9, 1990; they were married 26 years. Shannon was a fifth generation Californian who moved his family to Ozark, Missouri in 2005, where his youngest children attended and graduated from Ozark schools. Shannon, son of a master carpenter, spent his life working with his hands from furniture repair to moving companies contracted by Intel and HP. His favorite job was helping people at Lowe’s in Ozark because he loved people. Most of all, he loved his family and working on his home. He is survived by his wife Barbara; five children: Katelyn McCoy of Springfield, Missouri; Ryan McCoy of Rolla, Missouri; Keely McCoy of California; Shane McCoy and wife Monica of Maryland; and Amy Biagi of California; two sisters: Sue Palmer and husband Duane of California; Connie Ehrenberg and husband Ron of California; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and many other beloved family members and friends. Shannon was preceded in death by his parents and two older sisters. Memorial funeral services for Shannon will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 6, 2016 in Barnes Family Funeral Home, Ozark.
